One of the four remaining Armstrong boys, and Maggie's father. Standing around 5 feet 10 inches tall, he's around 45 years of age. He has dark auburn hair and a well-trimmed beard with steel blue eyes that darken when he's angry or worried. Known on the Borders as Red Rabbie, he gets a twitch over his left eye when serious.
Robert's nineteen year old daughter. Like her father, she has deep auburn hair, but her eyes are a dark honey brown, though they still hold her father's spark. She has fair skin and is petite, standing only about 5 feet tall, but she has her father's spirit. When she smiles, a dimple appears in her right cheek, and when she crosses her arms across her chest and tilts her head, she looks like her mother.
Robert's eldest brother and laird of the clan. He's a bit heavy around the middle but still a sturdy man with light brown hair and a straggly beard that always seems to be in need of a trim. Though his eyes are blue, they're not quite as bright as Robert's.
Robert's younger brother by a year or so. He has light brown hair and blue eyes and bears an uncanny resemblance to Robert, though he has a calmer disposition than either of his older brothers. Andy Armstrong's English wife and Betty Foster's niece. Though she still has ties to her Foster kin, her loyalty lies with her husband. She has dark brown eyes and hair the color of wheat.
The mother of Geordie and his three brothers. Though up in years with a petite form, she's still more than a match for her sons. She has steel blue eyes like her son Robert and silver gray hair.
One of Geordie's younger daughters. At only 13 years old, she longs to grow into a beautiful young lady.

Robert's twentieth-century friend and the man who started it all off. Edward is average height, just a smidge taller than Robert. He's in his mid-forties with sandy blond hair, though hints of gray have begun to show through. He is clean-shaven with soft green eyes.
Heidsman of the Foster family, Graham is still vibrant in his mid-sixties. His once brown hair is now salt and pepper, as is his beard, but his eyes are still bright azure blue with a youthful twinkle. His ears go pink when he's losing his patience or angry, and he plucks at his beard when thinking. If he begins doing it when his ears grow pink, his children know they'd better start telling the truth.
Graham's youngest son, and at twenty years old, his father's biggest headache. Nicknamed Bonnie Will by his older brothers, he has steel blue eyes that darken at the edge and sandy blond hair.
Graham's eldest son and Will's eldest brother. He has chestnut hair; a short, neatly trimmed beard; and the eyes of a hawk, with a disposition to match. A distant relative of Graham's wife Betty, he's a sleazy weasel of a man, who just manages to retain his place in the clan. In truth, he's just one step above a broken man.
The eldest son of Hob Rutherford, a neighbor of Geordie Armstrong. Ian has hair the color of burnished copper and deep green eyes. Though handsome and charming on the outside, he has a darker side as well as a nervous tic that causes his cheek to flutter at the most inopportune times.
Ian's father and laird of the clan, he's a neighbor to Geordie Armstrong. Not an attractive man, he has broken, jagged teeth and a scar that pulls his mouth into a perpetual grin. Red lines mar his green eyes, and his red hair is dull and greasy. He tends to have a nasty side and an over-inflated sense of self-importance.
Hob's second son, not as attractive as his older brother Ian, his eyes are more hazel and his hair dirty blond.
The youngest and least attractive of Hob's sons. His green eyes are watery and his hair too bright a red to be attractive.
