The Thunder On The Moor Series Reviews

thunder on the Moor reviews

Well researched and full of drama, romance and intrigue, This is a story that will appeal to fans of Diana Gabaldon, Christina Courtenay or Julia Quinn.

Lisa D - Madwoman in the Attic Blog

I was hooked from page one and fell in love with the well defined and relatable characters especially the likeable Maggie. Obviously well researched, this is a good mix of time travel, history and romance. I look forward to future books by the author.

                                                             Jenny Gordon - Book Bub

With her colorful characters, descriptions, and language, she immerses you completely into a world filled with border reivers, lasses, and all manner of Scottish clansmen in between. Excitement, enchantment, and romance rolled into one make this a riveting read!

                                                               Author Griffin Brady - Goodreads

Wow what a book. It has everything from history, to time travel, to romance and betrayal. The author writes so well you feel you are part of the story. It is captivating and gripping.

Kerry Carr - Itsy Bitsy Book Bits

This book is well-researched and the setting and customs are beautifully described, but not in a way that slows the plot, which is fast-paced and engrossing. The characters were all complete and so skillfully rendered, they were an absolute pleasure to spend time with. Not just the main characters, but ALL of the characters. There's a liveliness and sense of humor to the writing that helped the cast and the setting come to life. I was sorry when I finished it because I was enjoying myself so much.

                                                                Bina Hadar - Amazon

I couldn't put this book down, and even when I wasn't reading, I was thinking of Maggie's world and the colourful and compelling characters, sweeping scenery and riveting plot. Five Stars, for an outstanding novel from this debut author!

Author Elizabeth St. John - Amazon

This book is fast-paced, full of twists and turns, heart-wrenching, moving, at times brutal, at times full of heart, and much more. Whenever I picked up "Thunder on the Moor", I was whisked away on an adventure, and had a hard time putting this book down.

                                                         Ashley - Goodreads

This is well-paced, with an excellent mix of romance, betrayal, deceit and danger – everything you would expect from the border reviers! This is a world that doesn’t always get a fair crack at things from a historical fiction perspective, so it’s brilliant to see that changing. Recommended.

Author Jennifer C. Wilson - Historical Fiction with Spirit

Andrea Matthews did a sublime job at bringing this story to life, and setting her novel apart from others in this genre . . . Bottom Line: Come with me, and experience Andrea Matthew’s Scotland.

RIDE WITH THE MOONLIGHT reviews

Another fantastic book from this author! I absolutely loved it. This author has a fantastic writing style which draws me in straight away. I loved the first book in the series and I am so glad that this one didn’t disappoint. From the beautiful descriptive language to the fantastic characters I was hooked from beginning to end.

                                                                  Katie Matthews - Book Bub

This is another fast paced part of the whirlwind which is life for the Border Reivers and not one to be missed.

                                                                  Roxsanne Lesieur - Goodreads

Maggie’s story continues and everything I loved from the first book is here. The attention to detail and development was well done. I felt like I was watching a movie and often I found myself on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. I definitely get Outlander vibes from the story. I look forward to the next book.

Mirela Ruiz - Itsy Bitsy Book Bits

The writing in this book was just as imaginative and detailed as it was in the first. This meant it was so easy to picture everything going on. This has been a strong series and this book really just reinforces that completely. I would highly recommend you give this series a try today!

                                                                   Kerry Baker - Amazon

There's a hint of time travel in it, and terrific immersion in Scotland, with true love, treachery, family drama, warring clans, dastardly villains, and wonderful period detail, yet the author did a great job with the dialogue to keep it from being difficult to read, and it never felt like an "Outlander" rip-off.
